Bio: Angelique Noble, 22, was a Creole woman who worked as a burlesque dancer in the saloons of Storyville. Known for her vibrant costumes and sultry dance moves, Angelique attracted large crowds and received tips that supplemented her family’s income.
She lived in the French Quarter, just outside of Storyville, with her mother and siblings. Through dancing, Angelique felt a sense of autonomy and had the opportunity to provide for her family while pursuing her passion for performance.
